I am an Officer at the United Nations, currently bouncing around the Eastern Mediterranean.  I am a political scientist whose current research focuses on peace building, post-war recovery, and security sector reforms. My other interests include international security and political economy, civil war, peacekeeping, institutions, the politics of development, the global financial crisis, and Middle Eastern, European, and African politics.  I’ve done field research in Kosovo, Uganda, and Turkey. I am originally (proudly) from Oakland, CA.
